SATTVA RIDER`S YOGA, SRY

Sattva Rider`s Yoga, SRY is part of ECS and emanates from the very wise system of yoga and the specific needs of the horse rider. Sattva means balance or balanced energy, and when we are balanced, we will have the best possible conditions for success.

Why?

SRY has the wonderful power to challenge and strengthen the riders physical and mental weaknesses and thought that, reaching balance = Sattva.

I developed SRY in 2008 when I recognized that horse riders had a knowledge gap regarding their own bodies and that yoga was a perfect tool to remedy that.

There are a variety of yoga* forms that range from very physical to calm and meditative, and not all yoga forms suitable for riders. SRY is a type of yoga I created, that is completely tailored to the needs of the horse rider. This system works for all riders from novice to advanced.

When it comes to horseback riding it`s important that the rider is balanced and stable so that we don´t disturb or negatively affect the balance of the horse. By refining your coordination, you can move independently without your seat or balance being compromised. This will also give you a more connected and harmonious ride and a great ability to move as a team.

After numerous years of studying with the best Gurus in the world in a variety of different meditation and yoga forms,

such as Hatha, Anusara, ISHTA, Ashtanga, Yin, Therapeutic and MediYoga and together with my love for horses, riding and competing i´t felt natural for me to create SRY.

How?

In SRY I work with awareness, alignment, strength, flexibility, balance and breathing techniques to create a balanced mind and stability and suppleness in the saddle. Suppleness in your joints give you the ability to move freely with your horse`s movement by remaining relaxed, yet fully engaged and stable in the saddle. This suppleness is what riders have, when they make riding look effortless.

Through my different principles, I provide tools that take your riding to a new level.
